Wawel recognised in the Report “Responsible Business in Poland 2017”

On 12 April during the 7th CSR Fair at the PGE National Stadium in Warsaw there was the premiere of the new report “Responsible Business in Poland 2017. Good practices”. The activities of Wawel, as the only company in the confectionery industry, have been recognised by the Responsible Business Forum for commendable practices of responsible business in three categories.

Wawel, as the only confectionery manufacturer, was one of the companies whose good practices were published by the Responsible Business Forum in this year’s 16th edition of the “Responsible Business in Poland” Report. In the Environment category, the carpooling implemented among our employees was recognised. In the Consumer Issues category, the Good Ingredients programme was a shining example, proving that even in large-scale production, sweets can be made with natural ingredients and without unnecessary additives. The Responsible Business Forum also recognised Wawel in the category of Social involvement and local community development for its social and consumer programme Heart Grows. As part of this initiative, Wawel supports the charges of 5 charitable organisations participating in the programme, and thanks to the involvement of consumers, the company transfers the real amount of money to help selected institutions.
