Wawel with the Superbrands title

Wawel, a producer of chocolates and sweets, was awarded in this year’s edition of the Superbrands project. The Superbrands distinction is awarded to the most impactful Polish brands whose products meet consumers’ needs and are recommended by shoppers.

The Superbrands plebiscite is the largest brand strength survey in Poland. In the recent edition, a total of over two thousand brands were tested, and over 10,000 consumers were asked to share their opinions. The key factor determining the award was the brand strength index – a difference between the result of recommending and dissuading a given brand.

“Superbrands is an extremely valuable distinction, as the actual decision to award it is made by the consumers themselves. We are happy the Wawel brand is so often recommended by them. This brand awareness, company’s experience and everyday care for quality are the underlying values to build consumers’ trust and loyalty”, says Monika Kowalewska, Marketing Director at Wawel SA.

Wawel is one of the largest and most renowned producers of chocolates and sweets in Poland. It brings together the power of tradition and responding to today’s consumer expectations. For years, lovers of sweets have appreciated the taste of the iconic caramels and chocolates: Malaga, Tiki Taki and Kasztanki. At the same time, Wawel still amazes shoppers with novelties such as Królewskie Mleczko (Your Delicacy), i.e. round mousse in chocolate, or the Premium Extra Dark 100% Cocoa bar, which is made of only one raw material: cocoa beans.

The Superbrands organisation is an independent entity promoting the idea of branding by identifying, rewarding and showcasing studies of brands that have achieved market success. Superbrands has been operating in nearly 90 countries for 27 years now, and the recent Polish edition of the program has been held for the 15th time.
